Nintendo finally goes mobile

...and they've partnered with DeNA, one of the most consumer-unfriendly, exploitative free-to-play bullshit companies in the entire mobile marketplace.

Oh dear. Oh dear me.

While there are some great games on the iOS and Android platforms, Nintendo's choice of partner here does not fill me with any degree of confidence whatsoever.

I urge you to continue to support dedicated, pay-once play-forever handheld gaming if it's something you're into, lest it go the way of the dodo! (It probably won't, but it doesn't hurt to show your support.)

Full thoughts forthcoming.

Both good and bad.

Not sure how this will attack Nintendo's main weaknesses.

Edit: Here you go. https://noplatform.wordpress.com/2015/0 ... -nintendo/

Short Version: In the best case scenario a force like Nintendo might actually bring some positive change to mobile, but I'm not sure any of this helps Nintendo's hardware, or more importantly third party support on its dedicated hardware.
